Just a couple small looks at a mountain dinner party I designed for over the weekend. This tablescape drew inspiration and elements in the natural environment. The table was set up in a meadow of grass and wildflowers, next to a glassy lake, and in front of a large, old fallen tree. I used weathered wood branches to tie into the sculptural tree, and wove honeysuckle vines and delicate wildflowers in colors that mimicked the meadow's tiny blooms throughout. Placed atop a textural Silk and Willow runner, with mixed brass candlesticks, it created visual interest that still felt natural, somewhat minimal, and low enough to enable good conversation with friends in the warm air and haze of dusk.
